Artificial intelligence
Explore the knowledge map of the Pact for the Future plenary sessions!
The Urban Journalism Institute, in collaboration with UCLG, is implementing a pilot project on content and knowledge analysis using artificial intelligence during the UCLG 7th World Congress in Daejeon, the Republic of Korea.
The recorded videos of the three plenary sessions of the Pact for the Future, scheduled on 12, 13 and 14 October 2022, are going to be reviewed adding a layer of intelligence (automatically analyzing them with AI) to allow users to navigate context in innovative ways. The project aims to enhance inclusive access to information and opinions expressed by all speakers, as well as identify the main narratives or the ones which have been omitted.
The navigation through the pilot tool allows the access to a smart search inside the video transcript and get to the exact second where a word/sentence is mentioned by any of the speakers. It also creates knowledge maps, with the possibility to explore the main topics discussed during the session by speaker, as well as to interrelate contents and speakers, determining the thematic coincidences of their interventions.

This innovative project is possible thanks to the collaboration between OnCities 2030, a non-profit organization specialized in disseminating knowledge and understanding of sustainable urban development, and the start-up Omnios, that develops artificial intelligence software to automatise information processes, driving strategic decision-making.
