LOCAL4ACTION SPOTLIGHT

FROM LOCAL INNOVATION TO INDUSTRIAL TRANSFORMATION

UNIDO and UCLG brought forward the Global ScaleX Alliance for Cities, one of the initiatives discussed during the Executive Bureau on 23 June. The dialogue explored how cities can act as agents of industrial innovation by aggregating demand, sharing capacity and building “scaling corridors” to move solutions from pilots to implementation. The Western Balkans corridor was presented as the first pilot application of this approach.
